Route 01 ยท New pilot

Start with a calm first flight.

The goal is not to learn every feature at once. Build a small set of habits you can repeat before, during, and after every flight.

Your first objective

Finish a short practice session knowing where the aircraft is, how it is oriented, and how to bring it back to a stable hover without rushing. Everything else can build from that control.

Before leaving home

  • Read the aircraft manual and understand the return-to-home behavior.
  • Charge the aircraft, controller, and any device used for the flight application.
  • Choose a simple open practice area and verify current access and operating requirements.
  • Set one skill goal for the session instead of trying every intelligent mode.

At the field

Pause before powering on. Look at the people, obstacles, surface, wind, weather, and the route the aircraft would take if it needed to return. Confirm that your planned operation fits the current environment and official guidance that applies where you fly.

The first practice loop

  1. Lift into a low, stable hover and hold position.
  2. Move a short distance forward, back, left, and right while the nose remains pointed away from you.
  3. Rotate slowly, pause, and identify orientation before moving again.
  4. Return to the launch area and land deliberately.
